Editing Services

Premium Copyediting improves and corrects the document in relation to grammar, spelling, capitalisation, punctuation, hyphenation, logic, clarity, flow, overall correctness and consistency, formatting and referencing.

Platinum Copyediting (or heavy editing) includes everything provided in our Premium Copyediting service but allows double the amount of time to be spent on the improvement and correction of the document. This might be required if: there are an above average number of errors; you need extra assistance with rewording, organisation or structure; significant word reduction is required; English is your second language; or you’d like your editor to spend additional time on any aspect of editing.

Substantive Editing (or structural editing) assesses, shapes and corrects the document to improve its organisation and content, to clarify meaning, improve flow and smooth language, ensuring that language use is appropriate to the nature of the material and its audience. It also includes everything provided in Premium and Platinum Copyediting.
