Winner of the 2018 Capstone Editing Grant for Professional Thesis Editing

We are very excited to announce the 2018 winner of the Capstone Editing Grant for Professional Thesis Editing, Eden Robertson!

Eden is a PhD student in the School of Women's and Children's Health at the University of New South Wales. Her exciting and timely thesis is titled 'The development and pilot of ‘Delta’: Supporting parents and young people deciding whether to enroll in a paediatric oncology clinical trial'.

Eden’s research has important clinical implications nationwide and internationally. In the face of a rapidly changing healthcare environment, she will be the first to provide an essential resource to support parents and adolescents through the process of choosing whether to enrol in a clinical trial for children with cancer. By guiding families through the complexities of this decision, Eden’s project seeks to enable them to make well-informed decisions and have confidence in those decisions.

Beyond her thesis, Eden has proven herself to be a skilled speaker, an enthusiastic leader and innovator and an outstanding writer. Not only has she had 16 manuscripts published by peer-reviewed journals in a short period of time, but she has also written and developed the educational resource at the heart of her PhD research. Eden is at the forefront of a new generation of health researchers, and Capstone Editing is proud to be able to support her to complete her PhD and progress to the next stage of her academic career.

The Capstone Editing Grant for Professional Thesis Editing will assist Eden in the research component of her studies by providing her with our editing services to a value of $3,353.31 for her thesis of 100,000 words. Capstone’s experienced academic editors will ensure that her hard work is presented in the best possible light.
